Marie-Nöelle Ada Meyo (21, from the province of Ngouniéa) was crowned Miss Gabon 2012. The pageant happened in Libreville, and was attended by Leila Lopes, Miss Universe 2011. She will represent Gabon in Miss Universe 2012. The current Miss Universe Leila Lopes from Angola will crown her successor at the end of the event.
The organizer of Miss Gabon 2012, Defis de femmes, has acquired the Miss Universe franchise and will be sending Gabon's first ever representative Marie-Nöelle Ada Meyo to Miss Universe 2012.
